What are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin ceramic shells that bond to the surfaces of flawed teeth. They are an ideal way to give yourself a smile makeover because they are versatile and true-to-life.

Is your smile being affected by any of the following imperfections?

  • Discoloration or staining
  • Teeth that are difficult to whiten
  • Gaps between the teeth
  • Crookedness
  • Teeth with poor shape or size

Come talk with Dr. Daniel Sheridan to discover if dental veneers are the answer! Dr. Sheridan enjoys sitting with his patients to create smile makeover plans that are customized to meet their unique needs. He will ensure that you have a safe, comfortable, and successful procedure!

When bonded to the teeth, porcelain veneers are virtually undetectable. They are highly resistant to staining and chipping. Because of the durability and impressive aesthetic of our dental veneers, they are the best cosmetic choice for many of our patients.

The Porcelain Veneers Process

Consultation and Planning | During your first visit, you will take an active role in designing your new smile with Dr. Sheridan. He will become familiar with your needs and help you choose the most efficient route to a stunning smile.

Preparation and Impressions | Your dentist will remove approximately one half of a millimeter of the tooth’s enamel to create space for the dental veneer. This should be a comfortable process but may be accompanied by local anesthesia if desired.

After the tooth preparation, Dr. Sheridan will take impressions of the teeth and send them to our dental lab. He may provide you with a temporary veneer so that you can enjoy a beautiful smile while you wait for your final appointment.

Permanent Bonding | At your third appointment, Dr. Sheridan will check the fit and color of your porcelain veneer. He can make any necessary adjustments before bonding the veneer to the tooth. He will use a special cement and a beam of light to give you long-lasting results.

We hope that our gorgeous dental veneers will help you achieve your aesthetic goals. To find out if porcelain veneers are a good option for you, it’s time to call our office and schedule a consultation today!
